Competition Venue and Accommodation:

Vancouver Island Biathlon Club look forward to hosting this event at their biathlon site which is 350 metres West of Raven Lodge at Mt Washington’s Nordic Site. Raven Lodge is the Nordic ski lodge. Food and beverages can be purchased there and access to washrooms, showers and a sauna. Ski rentals and waxing facilities are available and a retail shop for ski supplies, clothing and equipment. On the opposite side of the parking lot is Vancouver Island Mountain Centre. http://www.vimountaincentre.com/ We have booked this facility for the weekend. There is accommodation for 40 people in bunk beds with 4 to a room. There are shower and washroom facilities, full kitchen facilities for self catering as well as a gym. Coaches meetings will be held in the Mt Albert Edward meeting room which is also the main lounge and dining area. It is a short distance to walk or ski to the biathlon site. As this is the closest accommodation and at under $90 for 2 nights accommodation probably the cheapest. We recommend you contact them as soon as possible to book space. (info@mountaincentre.com) 250-331-9355. Please book as a family or team and that way you can be placed in rooms together. There is a store on the mountain but it has limited supplies so we suggest you purchase food before driving up the mountain. If you plan on staying extra nights please discuss that with them too. Please mention you are booking for the BC Biathlon Championships.
