A reminder about Coach Developer Training: please see the link below for information on Content (Biathlon) Specific – Learning Facilitator (LF) and Coach Evaluator (CE) training in Richmond BC on November 9th and 10th. This is for the Community Context – Bronze (Assistant), Silver (Trainer), Gold (Leader): http://biathloncanada.ca/events/biathlon-community-coach-learning-facilitator-training/
This training is for coaches who are great classroom teachers for an adult audience, who know the sport well, have great evaluation skills with adults, and are certified Community Coaches or Competition-Introduction Coaches.
This is also an excellent opportunity for existing Learning Facilitators and Coach Evaluators to get up to date as the training is likely very different than when they took it. They will get lots of PD points too!
If your club wants to host coach development workshops, this is the way to have your own community coaching learning facilitators put on your own community coaching workshops, instead of relying on learning facilitators from other regions or provinces and paying for their travel costs to come to you.
For this particular event Biathlon Canada will be covering the workshop facilitator wages and the CAC facility rental, and Biathlon BC is covering the course fee. This is a huge savings for the participants so do jump on the opportunity do get this training done while it is offered here in BC!
The deadline for registration for these workshops is this Friday, October 11. There are currently no participants registered from BC. If there aren’t enough participants registered by next week the workshop will be cancelled and we will miss this opportunity to develop more Community Coach learning facilitators and evaluators here in BC.
If coaches or clubs have any questions about these workshops or coach development in general, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
