Safe Sport

Sport organizations in British Columbia are committed to creating a sport environment that is accessible, inclusive, respects their participants personal goals and is free from all forms of maltreatment. As part of Biathlon BC’s commitment to Safe Sport our staff and board have completed Commit to Kids training.

Have you ever wondered if something you see or experience during sport is okay?

This tool can help you find out where a situation fits and what to do about it. Different people might get different results; this is normal and can help start a conversation.

Members with a complaint are encouraged to report by completing this Safe Sport Incident Report and sending it to the Chair of Biathlon BC at safesport@biathlonbc.ca

Biathlon BC has taken the Responsible Coaching Movement Pledge and is committed to the Rule of Two, Background Screening, Respect and Ethics Training throughout our organization.

These concepts are preventative tools to protect your club, the coach and to reduce the instances of negative sport experiences related to bullying, abuse, unethical coaching.
