About Us

Biathlon is an Olympic winter sport which combines free technique cross country skiing and small-bore rifle marksmanship.

The challenge of biathlon comes from the combination of two contradictory activities, skiing and shooting. Cross-country ski racing involves intense physical exertion, while shooting demands stability and precision. While shooting, biathletes are aiming at a very small target, and must shoot with a racing heartbeat and heaving chest as the clock continues to run.

Biathlon is an exciting spectator sport as each time athletes come into the shooting range the lead can change in an instant. One good or bad shooting bout can change the outcome of a competition, so watching a biathlon competition can have you on the edge of your seat right from the start to the finish.
